Astrology- A mathrematcial perspective- 3

We have to update anything with the growth of science.  Otherwise we will land in sentiment which is our weakness.  Even in that, some logic is there.  We are dependent of earth. Take its direct relative. That is our moon; then next Sun, the main factor.  Then its direct relative, which are the planets and Sun’s parallel that is the stars.

In a nutshell, in every side, the first/main line is taken leaving its sub limbs for projection purpose.

Curve Fitting Principle:

or instance, (single) Curve Fitting technique as part of the Statistical syllabus is illustrated below for projecting a given set of data.  In this case, the equation is Y= ex

(A)         Given Data ; (B)  Projection as per curve

This is an exponential curve wherein the value of ‘e’ is derived as 2.71828185.  This is used for predicting the population explosion. For simple presentation, the calculation is avoided.  Even complicated cases are handled in the 4th chapter.

For a long time, I was thinking that how a planet spins away from the sun, set in an elliptical trajectory can influence the mankind.  All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose, says Brian Tracy. The belief about the astrology jogged my memory. Finally, after in-depth study, came to the conclusion of “statistical curve fitting”.  Hope, this will make a full stop for the tens of thousands of years old belief and non-belief over Astrology.

N

ow, an instance of very simple technique alike multiple Curve Fitting is presented below.  In this case, the projections of cost and profitability figures at different levels of sales are plotted on multiple curves to arrive at a conclusion regarding the profitability.

Sales starting at 10,000 with increase of 25 % year after year

Variable cost 60%

Fixed cost of Rs.5000/- for 3 years, and Rs.10,000/- for the next 4 years and Rs.15000/- for the last 4 years.

For easy calculation, the values of first four columns are taken as suitable, so that they will lie in perfect curves.

To be contd.
