Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology (RIT) 6th graduation day function

The sixth graduation day ceremony of Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology (RIT) was held at its campus today (July 2, 2017).

Dr. Mrs. Thangam Meganathan, Chairperson, Rajalakshmi Institutions delivered the welcome address.

Dr. M. Velan, Principal of the college in his annual report said that four students secured University ranks in the Anna University Examinations and brought great laurels to the Institute. “As many as 126 students from various departments have published their research papers in National and International conferences. Ten batches of students from various departments have submitted the projects to Smart India Hackathon 2017. Among the 1,200 teams, students from the Department of Information Technology from the college have been shortlisted for the second phase,” he said.

The Principal also pointed out that large numbers of students from the college had shown interest by submitting projects in Code-Vita contest, and Technology Appreciation Programme (TAP), a prominent event conducted by TCS every year.

Mr. C. Prakash, Training and Development Specialist, Training & Development Product Development Division, Ashok Leyland, Chennai took part as chief guest in the function and in his address he motivated the students.

Mr. Thomas Simon, Vice President (Human Resources), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Chennai delivered the guest of honour address.

A total of 383 students from Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology graduated with flying colours this year.
