~Organised in association with The Cancer Patients Aid Association, the show aimed at raising funds for cancer patients~
Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan sizzled on the ramp along with heartthrob Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt at the 12th annual edition of ‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ fashion show in association with the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) at the NSCI Club in Mumbai.
Mr Amitabh Bachchan urging the people to contribute towards the cause, said, “Charities, exists from donations. We all gather here to urge you with folded hands to make generous contributions as you can. It is a very sad site to see young children suffering from cancer and your contributions can give opportunity to these students to live a full and healthy life.”
As part of Fevicol’s flagship campaign #JudengeLadengeJeetenge, a rallying cry for cancer patients urging people to join together and fight the disease, the fashion show was a joint initiative organised with the CPAA. Fevicol has been associated with the CPAA and provided assistance and support to the organisation for over twelve years.
Funds raised from the show will be donated to the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) towards treatment of children suffering from blood cancer. Leading fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla marked their debut at ‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ this year, showcasing exquisite collections, while ace fashion designer Shaina NC presented her latest designs.
Himesh Reshammiya and Lulia Vantur stunned the crowd with their scintillating performances as Lulia sang the “Mei Hoon Hero Tera” track and Himesh brought back his hit songs back to life.
Diana Fram Edulji, former cricketer and also a cancer survivor and Julio Francis Ribeiro, a retired Indian police officer, walked the ramp as the Show Stoppers for Shaina NC.
Celebrities like Sonali Bendra Behl, Manish Paul, RJ Malishka and Sussanne Khan also walked the ramp in support of the initiative.
The show was supported by ASK group, Club Mahindra, Forever Mark, and State Bank Of India.
Shaina NC said, “‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ is a unique initiative that reflects the spirit of uniting and fighting this deadly disease. I have been associated with this event for several years and it is extremely satisfying to see that our efforts at raising cancer awareness and funding for treatment are having an impact. It’s an honour to partner with Pidilite and the CPAA as they fight to make a difference in the lives of countless children suffering from cancer and I feel really proud to be doing my bit.”
Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, said, "We have been blessed with so much and consider it an absolute privilege to be able to give back by putting our creativity to the most beautiful of all uses - the empowerment of others, especially in their Right to Health. Partnering with CPAA and Pidilite at 'Fevicol Caring with Style’, is our endeavour to put our work and our creativity into sending out a vitally important message of solidarity and support. It is our effort to open dialogue to create awareness and thus spur action and therefore empowerment via fundraising. Glamour and gravitas go hand in hand as we work towards effecting change."
Cancer Patients Aid Association Founder Chairman Y. K. Sapru said, “No patients should suffer or be deprived of a chance of receiving treatment due to lack of resources. Cancer incidence is on the rise and cancer treatment in India is extremely expensive. Patients of modest means and the underprivileged cannot afford treatment. We at CPAA aid needy cancer patients and give them access to treatment. Cancer is a dreadful disease but the will to live and the support of family and friends brings strength and courage to fight back. We have the power but require the funds, so let’s work together toward this noble cause."
Mr. Asit Koticha, Chairman ASK Group, congratulated CPAA on its 12th anniversary and said, “ASK Group is proud to be associated with CPAA in this noble cause. ASK strongly believes that a healthy and disease free new generation is the biggest asset in building our nation’s legacy.”
NSCI Managing Committee states, “We have been associated with Cancer Patients Aid Association since 2014 and it has been a privilege to support the CPAA and its great cause. We look forward to harnessing innovative efforts like ‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ which is a far-reaching initiative that creates awareness about a crucial issue and raises funds for needy cancer patients.”
Sachin Jain, President, Forevermark India said, “It is our absolute honour to be a part of this glamorous event this evening and support the good work CPAA is doing across the country. Forevermark, the diamond brand from The De Beers Group of Companies, strongly believes in supporting local communities worldwide.
