Depression in Bay of Bengal

  BHUBHANESHWAR , OCTOBER 9TH

Odisha is likely to experience heavy to very heavy rain and squally surface wind in the next two days due to the formation of a depression over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining north Bay of Bengal.

Under its impact, rain and thundershower are likely to occur in most parts of north Odisha and in several areas in south Odisha districts in the next 24 hours.

 .

The depression system, which lay centred east-northeast of Balasore and northeast of Paradip, is likely to move west- northwestwards initially and then intensify into a deep depression during the next 24 hours, the meteorological centre here said.
