Good inflow in Chennai reservoirs

  CHENNAI, SEPTEMBER 4TH 

  Due  to  recent  rains, the inflow of water in the catchment areas in the main water reservoirs of the Chennai Metro City, located at Cholavaram, Puzhal, and Chembarambakkam Lakes has increased.

 As on day-before-yesterday (Saturday, 2nd September), 44 mm rainfall was recorded in the Cholavaram Lake area. 51 mm rain was recorded in Puzhal lake area. 35 mm rain was recorded at Chembarambakkam lake area.

 Subsequently, the inflow of water to the Cholavaram lake is 35 cft per sec. The inflow of water to the Puzhal lake is 232 cft per sec. The inflow of water to the Chembarambakkam lake is 193 cft per sec.
