TN records 92.1% pass in Plus Two exams

  CHENNAI, MAY 12TH

The results of Plus Two examination conducted by Tamil Nadu was released on Friday, 

The overall pass percentage was 92.1%, a marginal increase of 0.7% from last year. While the pass percentage for girls was 94.5%, it was 89.3% for boys.

A total of 8.93 lakh students appeared for the examination through schools.

With 97.85%, Virudhunagar district recorded the highest pass percentage.

A day before the announcement of Plus Two results, the School Education Department decided to end the practice of ranking students at the State and district levels in Plus Two and SSLC exams with a view to providing relief to students going through  trauma.
